So lets buckle up to check out some of the most exciting and awaited upcoming movie releases of this year.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is an upcoming superhero movie that will be released in theaters on May 03, 2023. It’s the third installment of the movies Guardian of the Galaxy(2014) and Guardian of the Galaxy Vol 2(2017) based on the Marvel Comics which is produced by Marvel Studios.

 Chris Pratt will be returning as Peter Quill who plays half human, half Celestial leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy who had been abducted from earth as a child, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Will Poulter, Elizabeth Debicki, Sylvester Stallone, Sean Gunn, Maria Bakalova and Chukwudi Iwuji. The storyline revolves around Peter Quill, who is still reeling from the loss of Gamora to rally his team around him in-order to defend the universe whilst protecting one of their own. A mission that could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them if it is not completed successfully. Without a doubt, we would be on edge till the end.

Evil Dead Rise

This movie features Lily Sullivan and Alyssa Sutherland as two estranged sisters whose reunion is cut short with the discovery of an ancient book that gives birth to bloodthirsty demons entangling them in a battle trying to survive and save their family from these flesh possessing demons. 

Additionally, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols and Nell Fisher also features in supporting roles. Evil Dead Rise is the fifth installment in the Evil Dead film series which is to be released on April 21, 2023. So get ready with friends and junkies for some hair raising, nail biting, dread filled movie night.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

After years and years of delays and anticipation, the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones series, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is finally set to be premiered on June 30, 2023. This movie is directed by James Mangold who co-wrote the script with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth.

This movie features Harrison in his fifth and final portrayal of archaeologist Indiana Jones where John Rhys-Davies will also be returning to his role as Sallah. Moreover, new cast members include Phoebe Waller-Bridge,Antonio Banderas, Shaunette, Renée Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Olivier Richters, Ethann Isidore and Mads Mikkelsen.

 

As not many details of the plot is disclosed, what we can see from the trailer is several flashbacks to past Indiana Jones movies, along with sweeping shots of the desert, underwater skeletons, and a digitally de-aged Ford. The fedora-loving professor can be seen in a classroom, fighting on top of a speeding train, and chasing through a crowded parade. To see Harrison one last time would definitely be a treat for Indiana Jones fans.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Without a doubt, Transformers: Rise of the Beats will be one the most awaited film of the year. Directed by Steven Caple Jr, Transformers: Rise of the beasts shows a human/Transformer bond, which would be a sequel to Bumblebee.

The storyline revolves around a pair of human archeologists that come into an ancient conflict with the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons where the three fraction of the Transformer race is introduced. The Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons. Staring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, this movie will be released on June 9,2023. Hold onto your seatbelts till then.

Dune: Part Two

Timothee Chalamet returns as Paul joined by returning cast members Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, and Dave Bautista, along with newcomers Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, and Léa Seydoux.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, it is sequel to the 2021 movie which is based on the 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert. The movie is to be released on November 3,2023.

 

Paul reunites with Chani and the Freman who faces a choice between saving the love of his life and the fate of the universe. Meanwhile, he seeks revenge from those who destroyed his family and to avert a disastrous future as he is the only one who can foresee it. It would definitely be worth a watch.

John Wick: Chapter Four

Who’s excited to watch Keanu Reeves on the fourth chapter of the John Wick movie?? We sure are. Reeves will be seen with his swift moves. To say amazing would be an understatement. Returning actors, lan McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and Lance Reddick will be joined by newbies Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgärd, Clancy Brown and, as a new villain, Alita: Battle Angel’s Marko Zaror.

Directed by Chad Stahelski, the fourth chapter will be continuing from where the third chapter ended and would be premiered on March 23,2023.

 

Wick is not expected to accept his fate and will be seen going after The High Table, a council full of crime lords that governs the underworld. He would also have to face a new enemy with powerful affiliation around the world that turns old friends into enemies.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

And now for a movie that brings back so many childhood memories. For any 90’s kid out there, the Nintendo game Mario would have been full of fond memories. Based on the video game, The Super Mario Bros is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic with Chris Pratt taking on the voice of Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach.

Traveling through the Mushroom Kingdom, a Plumber called Mario is trying to find Princess Peach with the help of his brother Luigi and an Anthropomorphic Mushroom called Toad. All the while, Mario tries to save the world from a ruthless fire breathing Koopa named Bowser. On April 7, 2023 it would be truly nostalgic to watch Mario on the big screen.
