Addicted to the complexity, intricateness and science that surrounds baking, 21-year-old Fathima Zaeem Ahmed, started a little project that we all have come to know as ‘Dessert Box’. She gathers inspiration from the simplest of things that life has to offer; the trees, the ocean and the sunset. In other words, mother-nature seems to be her partner in business, spoiling her with all the creative juice one may desire. Testing out recipes and unique flavors is a trait that comes quite effortlessly to our beloved local baker.

However, it wasn’t till her first year of college that she realized just exactly how passionate she was about gastronomy. Combining her artistic and pastry skills, Faathy was able to transfer an ordinary cake into an extraordinary one; the end product that had the power to move people, which is truly any creator’s aspiration.
