It is that time of the year again. Where we brush the dust off the suit cases neatly stashed under our beds and purchase some sunscreen, thrilled for a break from the daily grind. But 2020 has so far been a series of unfortunate events one bigger than the other.
Corona Virus is stealing the spotlight while we sit at home listening to the madness, watching the chaos and feeling the uncertainly, our brains are slowly descending into lunacy. The past 6-8 months were spent indulging in various baked goods and desserts, fat slowly accumulating in all the wrong places. So it’s time to take charge of this situation and take a responsible step out into the wilderness for some fresh air and make some new memories.
Maldives, the ideal COVID escape?
One Island – One Resort concept, only in the Maldives!
With thousands of naturally scattered islands spread across the Indian Ocean, Maldives offers guests an island with one resort for the ultimate self-isolation paradise for some COVID free relaxation.
The isolated nature of Maldivian islands helps reduce the spread of the virus and has helped contain the adversities of the situation.
Smarter policies = stress-free travels
With the reopening of the borders and the slow resumption of flights and international travels, the Ministry of Tourism has implemented shrewd and efficient policies to ensure the safety of travelers and resort staffs.
Although traveling during a pandemic can be stressful and risky, with the current policy of mandatory PCR testing prior to arrival into the Maldives has kept our minds at ease. Guests are also not required to do mandatory quarantine upon arrival meaning a single minute of your holiday is not wasted!
Adapting to the new normal
Although policies and laws are there to help ensure the safety of all, it is every individual person’s duty to ensure their own safety.
Masks, sanitizers and better hand hygiene has now become an integral part of our daily lives. Social distancing rules have also allowed us to adapt to long distance communication and conducting online businesses and transactions. What a time to be an introvert!
